Avalon Digital is developing and distributing the computer version of Gettysburg: A Time for Heroes. One of Avalon Digital’s main skills is adapting boardgames to the digital world. Avalon Digital's founder, Philippe Thibaut, developed some of the best known and highly regarded digital versions of historic war games and political simulations such as Europa Universalis (1997-2000 original version), Crusader Kings (2002 original design) and the acclaimed AGEOD’s American Civil War (versions I and II, 2007-2012).

In addition, Avalon Digital brought the board games Britannia and the immensely popular Napoleonic board game War & Peace to computers, and more recently the well-known No Retreat! The Russian Front boardgame.

Last but not least, Avalon also designs, develops and distribute the successful Strategy Game Studio (SGS) games.
