Breakaway’s principals and staff have developed some of the most successful computer strategy and simulation games in the history of the computer gaming industry including Sid Meier's Antietam!, Waterloo: Napoleon's Last Battle, Austerlitz: Napoleon's Greatest Victory, Civilization III: Conquests, Command & Conquer: Kane's Wrath. A pioneer in the serious games movement, Breakaway has game and simulation development relationships with the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Army War College, the Navy War College, the National Defense University, the United States Joint Forces Command Joint Experimentation Directorate as well as many others. A noted recent project was Pulse!!, an emergency room simulation used to train medical personnel in life saving procedures and practices.
